Following our first meeting, we spent the next few days texting relentlessly -- we sent each other over 1,000 messages before we heard the sound of each other's voices. Then, we talked and Facetimed every night (sometimes without sleeping at all). I literally switched to an iPhone so we could. I was delirious. It was all so effortless. We were inevitable.

Our first date was November 29 -- though I made the reservations for the wrong day. It was raining and she was flustered, but I was immediately drawn to her -- like a friend who was always there.

At Bar 1919 -- on our first date -- I agreed to travel with Alexandria to Boston. It was spontaneous and out of character. It was also the best decision I ever made.

We spent our first New Year's in New Orleans together -- we both love the city and we were going to see the Longhorns play in the Sugar Bowl. Alexandria pretended to like football for me, but it was clear she didn't know what was happening on the field. The day before New Year's we went around the French Quarter and picked out the best Gothic outfits we could find. We spent New Year's dressed to the 9's -- the 1899's. We are a huge hit on the street. Ask her how she helps the homeless.

Levi and I assemble our first Lego set together: Spiderman, of course. Then we change and go out to wash Mom's car and fill it full of gas. He helped the entire time. Next stop would be our trip to New Braunfels. Alexandria rented a beautiful Air B&B and Levi managed to injure himself 3 times in 24 hours. I was going to watch Cupcake compete, but some of her team got sick and they didn't get the chance. We still managed to have a good time (and some fried rice).

Our first formal event together, and she looked absolutely stunning. However, rumor has it that this dress was later returned to Amazon. If true, whoever bought it next never looked close to as good as Alexandria in it.

It is our first trip with my Mom and Dad and we had a great time. Alexandria held her own on our routine trivia games and it was the first time that she saw William karaoke in public. It would not be the last.

Alexandria was sick on our first day -- due to a poor decision to have a Taco Truck hot dog at midnight the day before we left. We went to the ER where I was asked if I was her father. That didn't stop us. We did a little shopping and spent the morning at the JFK Presidential Library. By 1:00 PM, it was time to pick my love up back at the hospital. We went to the Boston Public Library, the bar where Good Will Hunting was filmed, Harvard, and of course -- Salem.

We are just as in love today as we were when we met. I may not remember her drink order, but I will never forget what it is like to make her smile or laugh. It seemed in August we were having to steal moments together, but we made it work, as we always do. We managed to have a great date night (wearing our Toad & Frog shirts). We also went to a Bakery Pop-Up at Gravves...that we didn't get to. We did get over to Maui's Hawaiian...but that's a different story.

Another excellent date night, Alexandria made us reservations at Cavalier -- a very elegant restaurant that had a giant bottle of Heinz ketchup that you could see as soon as you walked in. I was lucky enough to get some myself. We had planned on going to Hopscotch (an art gallery with signature drinks), but they were sold out. We still had a few of their libations. We closed the evening wrapped in each others arms on a couch at the Mixtli bar. Every moment with her is special.

After a week of events, my love and I attended a Charreada for the 2024 Congressional Medal of Honor Society Convention. We had dinner with 45 of the living 66 Medal of Honor recipients and it was humbling. I don't know that she could have a cowboy hat that was more reflective of her.

Getting into the game was bananas -- and it didn't help that it was over 100 degrees in the sun. The stadium ran out of Gatorade and water so I was forced to drink beer. Still, I was sitting next to this woman who doesn't care about football, but would go with me anywhere. My whole heart.

It was tbest birthday ever! My love and I wore matching outfits and she ordered the most beautiful cake. High Octane played (and I sang a few songs) and it was amazing seeing both of our families mingling with each other and my friends.

It's Carlos & Gabby's Wedding Day in Guadalajara. There was no way were going to miss it -- after all, that first trip to Boston was to help stage a surprise engagement. This whole trip was amazing.

We got engaged at Nowhere Bookstore on Broadway (at 6:19 PM) -- and although it wasn't an international destination, it was perfect because she said yes and frankly, she would have never wanted more. I was recovering from surgery and still medicated (insert joke here). Still, it was beautiful and I could not have done it without the help from Ben and Myda. Dinner was where we had our first date, at the same table. We went out for drinks afterwards but because I was still medicated, it was almost immediately unromantic.

It's Greg and Adriene's wedding! It was a full day and Alexandria looked absolutely stunning. She gave a great speech at the reception that was only mildly interrupted by Levi trying to hide behind her dress.
